The NME have reviewed the new album by Black Affair (Steve Mason’s current project) in this week’s issue - scoring it 8/10

Camillia Pia’s review describes the album as “shimmering electro-funk that tells sultry tales of dark obsession and kinky copulation” and “A brilliantly tense and often remarkable record”

Amazing Album, best thing I have heard for a couple of years by a mile. Beats as good as Cabaret Voltaire, New Order or Depeche Mode at their electronic best, but decent lyrics as well. Taki Attacki and Subfuge outstanding tracks, this album is on a par with anything Steve did in the Beta Band.
