Steve Mason is currently on tour as Black Affair. You can check him out at the following dates (according to his MySpace)
25 Jul 2008 – Crawdaddy, Dublin (buy from Ticketmaster)
26 Jul 2008 – BE@ Proud Galleries, London
30 Jul 2008 – Bluecoat, Liverpool
09 Aug 2008 – The Arches, Glasgow
30 Aug 2008 – Bangers and Mash DJ SET, Stockholm
I’ve been trying to find out which ticket agencies are selling for these dates – SeeTickets and Ticketline.co.uk both turned up nothing…
Ticketmaster has the Crawdaddy, Dublin date on sale – and it also links to an Edinburgh gig on 10th August (via their sister site Ticketweb.co.uk)
In fact Ticketweb have got 2 dates listed for Black Affair (neither of which are listed on MySpace):
01 Aug 2008 – Newcastle Cluny (buy tickets from Ticketweb)
10 Aug 2008 – The Edge Festival, Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh, Scotland (buy tickets from Ticketweb)

The NME have reviewed the new album by Black Affair (Steve Mason’s current project) in this week’s issue – scoring it 8/10
Camillia Pia’s review describes the album as “shimmering electro-funk that tells sultry tales of dark obsession and kinky copulation” and “A brilliantly tense and often remarkable record”
You can pre-order Black Affair – Pleasure Pressure Point
(originally scheduled for release on Monday 14th July 2008, but the date has been pushed back) from Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com

This was just posted to The Aliens’ MySpace:
ALIENS TOUR CANCELLED
We regret to announce the cancellation of our tour dates due to an unfortunate episode involving lead singer Gordon Anderson and some overly high jinx.
On Saturday afternoon Gordon fell and broke his clavicle whilst climbing a tree with band mate John. As a result the band will be unable to play the following dates:
MARCH
14th Sheffield Leadmill
15th Nottingham Social
18th Bristol Fleece
19th London ULU
20th Leeds Fathersham
21st Newcastle Cluny
23rd Glasgow Classic Grande
24th Belfast Speakeasy
25th Dublin Crawdaddy
Fans that have bought tickets can use them again when the dates are rescheduled or contact the promoter for a refund.
On a lighter and less painful note, the album ‘Astronomy For Dogs’ is out on Monday 19th March!!
